Import cars and customers
Upload a file and carsLOG matches the columns by their headings. It understands the names in carsLOG templates and common names from other systems’ exports and spreadsheets. You can change the matching before importing.
- the CSV separator – semicolon, comma, tab or vertical bar – is detected automatically
- values such as “nafta”, “automat” or “kombi” are converted to the right codes

Checks before the import
Before anything is saved you see a preview: how many rows are fine, how many have a warning and how many cannot be imported. Each error shows the column and the reason.

Each import is recorded with the file name, number of rows, records imported and errors. So you always know what came into carsLOG and when.

Which systems can I switch from?
Any system that can export CSV or Excel, and your own spreadsheets too. If you do not have an export, get in touch.
How much does help with switching cost?
Nothing. Moving your data is free on every plan.
What if the file contains cars I already have in carsLOG?
A row with a VIN that is already in carsLOG is marked as a duplicate and not imported. The same goes for a customer with the same company ID or email.
How large a file can I upload?
Up to 5 MB and 5,000 rows. Split larger stock across several files.
When can I switch off my old system?
Whenever you like. We recommend waiting until you have checked the imported data.
